Hello, this blog post is a follow up from a post I wrote on my old website. In that post I detailed my personal plans at the time. I talked about the Doctor Who title sequence which is now finished and more importantly I talked about my desire to move to a new website. This is that new website. I made this decision for two reasons. Firstly the restrictions of Wix. The file size limit grew to be quite annoying and the ways of getting around it wheren't particularly desirable for me. The main reason though was an ethical one. Wix is an Israeli company and naturally that puts a bad taste in ones mouth and so I did not want to contribute to the profits of such a company. In the end I chose neocties as a replacement as it matched my own values the closest, with the bonus of being really fun. I'm a socialist and I believe free and open source software has a lot of potential to be subversive in an anti-capitalist way. So far this new website is still under construction (I have a feeling it will alway be under construction to some extent) but I think it is now at a point where I'm happy enough to promote it.

Future

Currently I am not working on a personal projects. The Doctor Who title sequence took a lot of time and effort and as a result I'm slightly burned out. I will continue to make short little vfx shots as I'm in the proccess of learning houdini. In terms of long term projects I've not settled yet on what I'm going to do next but I'd like to do a short film. I'd like to do something that evokes the styles of Georges Meilies, Ladislas Starevich, Karel Zeman, Ray Harryhausen, Lotte Reiniger, Suzan Pitt and David Lynch. In terms of this website I have a couple blog post ideas. I have an unfinished blog post on the making of the title sequence. I also have some ideas for blog posts on the current state of Doctor Who, films I've watched and political topics.
